How to Change the Front Page in WordPress

By default, WordPress shows your latest blog posts on the homepage. If you prefer to use a custom page as your front page, you can easily change it in your settings.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings > Reading.
  3. Under Front page displays, select A static page.
  4. From the Front page dropdown, select the page you want to display as your homepage.
  5. From the Posts page dropdown, select the page where your blog posts should appear (optional).
  6. Click Save Changes.

Your selected page will now be displayed as the front page of your website.

Alternative Method: Using a Page Builder

If you want to design a more customized front page, you can use a drag-and-drop page builder plugin such as:

These plugins allow you to design your front page visually with layouts, widgets, and custom styling.

Tips

  • Make sure the page you set as your front page is published, not a draft.
  • If you don’t see your changes, try clearing your browser cache or refreshing the page.
  • You can change your front page settings anytime if you decide to redesign your homepage later.
